$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install emboss-lib 

emboss-lib is installed in your system.

Make ensure the emboss-lib package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep emboss-lib *

You will get with emboss-lib package name, version, architecture and description in a table

emboss-lib package basic information:
